Here's a classic case of a guy that just has too much money. Billionaire Shiekh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates really wanted to leave his mark on the world. So, he literally left a mark on the world.
He hired workers to dig letters into the sand, a 300 metres across, on an island he owns called Al Futaisi. Stretching three kilometres wide, and with letters a kilometre high, the name HAMAD can now be read from space.
The thing is so huge that the letter H, the first A, and part of M have been turned into waterways.
